Agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Deca Limited ("we", "us"), the company behind the Coursium app and this website. Installing, opening or using Coursium means you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.

Who can use Coursium

You must be at least 13, and at least the minimum age of digital consent where you live if that is higher. You must be able to enter into a binding contract, and you must not be barred from using the service under any applicable law. If you use Coursium on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

Your account

You can use much of Coursium without signing in, but progress only syncs between devices once you have an account. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself: anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to it.

Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Coursium and its course material for your own learning. That licence is the whole of what you get; we keep all other rights.

• Do not copy, republish, resell, sublicense or distribute course material, in whole or in part.
• Do not scrape the app or its content, or use automated means to extract lessons, questions or answers.
• Do not use Coursium content to train, fine-tune or evaluate a machine learning model.
• Do not reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source of the app, except where the law says you may despite this clause.
• Do not remove or obscure any notice of ownership.

Subscriptions and billing

A Coursium subscription unlocks the full catalogue for as long as it is active. Subscriptions are sold through the App Store and Google Play, not by us directly, and the following applies to every plan:

• Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends, at the price shown for the plan.
• Manage or cancel a subscription in your store account settings — App Store → your name → Subscriptions, or Play Store → Payments and subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
• When you cancel, access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Prices may change. If we change the price of a plan you already hold, you will be told in advance and given the chance to cancel before it takes effect.

Free trials

Where a free trial is offered, it converts into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. A trial is available once per person and per store account, and we may withdraw or vary trials at any time. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple and Google, so refunds are theirs to give and are governed by their policies — reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, Google Play’s refund process for Android. We cannot reverse a store charge ourselves. None of this affects any statutory right to cancel or refund that applies to you and cannot be excluded by agreement; if you have one, write to us and we will honour it.

Certificates

Finishing every course in a program unlocks a Coursium certificate carrying the name you supply, the course, the date and a reference code that anyone can check at coursium.ai/verify.

• A certificate records that you completed material in this app. It is not an accredited qualification, not a licence to practise, and not a credential issued by any educational or professional body.
• The name you put on a certificate must be your own. Do not issue one in someone else’s name.
• We may withdraw a certificate obtained by manipulating the app, sharing an account, or otherwise not doing the work, and we may withdraw one issued in error. A withdrawn certificate stops resolving at its verification link.
• Because a certificate is meant to be shown to other people, its verification page is visible to anyone holding the reference. Share it deliberately.

Course content is education, not advice

Coursium teaches you to work with AI tools. The material is general education and nothing in it is professional, legal, medical, financial, tax or employment advice, and it does not create any professional relationship between us.

• AI tools change constantly. A lesson accurate when written may not match the tool in front of you, and we do not promise that any technique still works.
• Where the app generates or grades text with AI, the output can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. Treat it as a suggestion, never as a verified answer.
• You are responsible for what you do with what you learn here, and for checking anything consequential with someone accountable for the answer.
• We do not promise any particular result — a job, a promotion, a passing grade, a saved hour — from using Coursium.

What you write in the app

Some exercises ask you to write your own text. You keep whatever rights you have in it. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store and process that text so we can return feedback to you and improve our courses. Do not paste in confidential information, other people’s personal data, or anything you are not free to share — practice answers are sent to a third-party model provider to be graded, as described in our privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Use Coursium for learning and nothing else. In particular, do not:

• Break any law, or infringe anyone’s rights, through the app.
• Interfere with the service, probe or test its security, or try to get access you were not given.
• Circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, any paywall, entitlement check or usage limit.
• Share, rent or sell your account, or use one account for several people.
• Submit content that is unlawful, abusive, or that contains another person’s personal data.
• Use bots, scrapers or automated clients against the app or this website.

Availability and changes to the service

We add, change and remove courses and features as the app develops, and we may suspend or discontinue any part of it. We aim to keep Coursium available but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service — updates, maintenance, a provider outage or something outside our control can all interrupt it. If we discontinue a paid feature outright, your remedy is the subscription cancellation and store refund process described above.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Coursium at any time and delete your account from Profile → Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if your use puts the service or other users at risk — where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except where the law requires one, and the sections on licence limits, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and the general clauses survive it.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coursium is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements, that its content is accurate or current, or that defects will be corrected. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you; nothing here removes a consumer right that cannot be excluded by agreement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to Coursium — whether the claim is in contract, tort or otherwise, and even if we were told such damages were possible.

• Our total liability for all claims relating to Coursium is limited to the greater of the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty US dollars.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your use of Coursium, your breach of these terms, your infringement of anyone’s rights, or content you submit through the app. We may take over the defence of any such claim at our own expense, and you agree to cooperate with it.

Apple and Google

These terms are between you and us, not with Apple or Google. Where you obtained Coursium from the App Store, the following applies and is required by Apple:

• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, any failure to conform to a legal requirement, or a claim under consumer protection or privacy law.
• Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending or resolving any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
• You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

General

If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor to our business. These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the entire agreement between us about Coursium and replace anything said before.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes, and the date at the top records when we last did. Where a change is material we will flag it in the app rather than expect you to re-read this page. Continuing to use Coursium after an update means the updated terms apply; if you do not accept them, stop using the app and cancel any subscription through your store.
